Sameer Rehna can't easily continue his India's Got Latent season 2 without facing new legal troubles. The Supreme Court of India has just imposed a 3 lakh rupee fine on Sameer Rehna. They've called him a self-proclaimed youth icon, saying that he has taken the court for a ride and violated the court's orders while continuing his show. Now, first things first, this is not the case over the jokes that Ranveer Allahabadi made on parents on India's Got Latent. This is a different one. Last year, Sameer Rehna and four other comedians were sued by the CARE SMA Foundation for jokes about a two-month-old infant suffering from spinal muscular atrophy and for allegedly mocking blind people during his show. The Supreme Court back then had said that free speech cannot be a license to demean vulnerable communities under the guise of satire. The court ordered Samer Reina and others to apologize for these jokes. These comedians said that they would amend their insensitive jokes and they will also host special shows to showcase the achievements of persons with disabilities. But the court has fined Samer as it said that he has not invited any persons with disabilities on his show even till now. while he has already launched two episodes of his show's second season.
