From the report
Hi everyone, welcome or welcome back to my channel. My name is Saloni and I'm from India. Like Kajal, Saloni, a social media influencer, has battled obesity all her life. It became like I was born to lose weight. That was my whole point that I have to lose weight, I have to be fit. It's not that I've not tried all kinds of diets, all kinds of fasts, but it's not helping me. I lose 15-20 kgs then gain 25-30 back. I was 34 last year when I was told by the doctor that you should take. But then the final decision came down to that, okay, I'm 34, the clock is ticking. The gynaec told me that, you know, with age, the fertility issues come up and there are so many health risks. I started my journey in July, 1st July 2025. This is my 12th month. In 11 months, I've lost 37-38 kgs. But the side effects on her body were brutal. In the first month itself because I was not eating because the appetite got suppressed due to the medicine I lost 8 kgs in the first month itself and I knew it muscle loss because it cannot be that I have lost weight It was of course inflammation and water weight plus muscle loss Nausea diarrhea sometimes constipation but everything got under control within two or three days like doctor had given the medicines. Last year Saloni decided to help others by starting a support group on Instagram. It received an overwhelming response. Saloni got hundreds of messages from those taking GLP-1 drugs. Many of them had never been to a doctor. They had been put on the drug by beauty clinics, promising them instant weight loss. One person came to me, she contacted me through Instagram and she said, I've been following your journey and I've started with this thing. How much do they cost? I said, if you've started, how much did you pay? Because that is how I verify. She did not have a prescription. She said, I go to my clinic and they inject me every week. They are like dermatologists or skin, laser hair removal, like those doctors. So the medicine Munjaro starts, the 2.5, the lowest dose starts at about 11-12,000. And if somebody is like overcharging also like 13-14 maximum. She was paying 17k for one week of worth of medicine.
