The Constitution is My Home. It's such a deeply evocative title and perhaps we can start with that. Now, there are two things. One, did writing this memoir change the way you understand your own journey? And looking back now, I mean, the memoir has been published a few months back. when you look back at it, are there any issues or constitutional questions that you now wish you had explored more fully in the memoir? I mean, and also I think it would be very interesting if you could tell us some striking anecdotes or moments in the court which have in a way influenced your thinking and your work as a lawyer. Okay, so many questions, but let me see if I can answer at least some of them. Now, you know, as far as the title is concerned, I also feel very emotional about this title. But sometimes if you ask me to explain it I may not be able to explain it to you Sometimes these expressions phases ideas concepts just come to you in a flash And this particular title or rather the thought that the Constitution is my home had come to me when one of my colleagues who was just doing a webinar with me, nothing else, and the webinar was for a non-human rights community group of maybe commercial lawyers. And he said to me, you must explain to them what exactly is the work you do, because they're in commercial law and I would like them to know your kind of lawyering. and in that conversation I told this group of lawyers that you want to know what I do let me tell you that I can sum up my work in one sentence the Constitution is my home but the phrase stuck with me okay so it came from nowhere but it didn't go nowhere it was gone somewhere yes it has certainly gone somewhere you
