A simple gesture by actor John Abraham turned into a touching moment during an anti-drug awareness program organized by the social welfare department in Shillong on July 31. As recovering addict Marvin walked up to share his journey, he appeared overwhelmed with nervousness and struggled to begin speaking. sensing his hesitation John Abraham who was the chief guest at the program stood up walked over to him and gave him a warm hug that expected gesture true applause from the audience and helped Marvin regain his confidence before he began sharing his testimony Marvin then spoke about his battle with addiction and the long road to recovery urging others to stay away from drugs and seek help without fear or shame. With all the problems that we had at home, I didn't know how to express my feelings, the pain I felt inside I kept everything bottled up I always thought that by carrying everything alone I was being courageous but I was deeply wrong later while addressing the gathering John praised Marvin courage and Called him a hero Marvin your your story got got me to tears and I think you spoke so well Marvin and You're a hero. You're the real hero. I I am a real hero, but you're the real hero and I think you've come back from what we would say is impossible. So congratulations to you and my love to your mom, your sister and your wife. And my condolences and I'm so sorry about your brother. But we're all with you. Thank you for watching the video.
